The Onna Bugeisha were fierce female warriors who not only defended their homes from invasion during feudal wars but also fought alongside the men in battle. The word Onna Bugeisha literally translates to woman warrior. They were a force to be reckoned with, a trait that I believe is within every woman across the globe. The strength, resilience and courage is portrayed in every piece in this collection.
